Good news for all! Congrats to Team Summit riders Kris “Smasher” Kaltenbacher and Jeff “King” Schauer (photographer) who scored the first cover of the season for Snowtracks Magazine, the montly publication of the CNSA. Smasher is a sidehilling fool and this season, a huge sidehill battle is shaping up between Smasher and Dan Gardiner! This season should prove to be a banner year for the riders, sponsors and contributers of Team Summit! go to www.teamsummit.net for more details

Jeff Aiello has been hard at it again. That guy has “grabbed the turbo by the bars” and totally redesigned the Team Summit site! Starting with a bold new look, ease of navigation, mission statement (as well as bio on the team) and ability to allow for people to follow a little better the antics of this group of talented athletes. Jeff has a phenomenal vision for the group and I can say with absolute certainty that the fan base and riding public will be impressed with the future of Jeff’s creations. I encourage all to witness the transformation of the site and direction of the Team Summit organization at www.teamsummit.net we couldn’t have a better rider and statesman at the helm…. STAY TUNED!

Okay! So we now officially have a Polaris Assault that will be there with NOS and upgrades up the wazoo for your viewing at the festival. We are also looking at some sweet giveaways including Klim gear and various aftermarket mods. The Grand Sierra has been awesome throughout this setup and is planning on rolling out the carpet for this event. we are currently courting ESPN and see if they can come and witness snomobile film history in the making. As the event nears we will tighten up the guest list and update as the names confirm, but I can tell you it will be the best of the best! Please keep up on all the latest updates as they become available right here on SnoWrap!

The season is upon us and around the bend. The summer was too long and hot and I was jones’in to get the machinery out and find what was needed to be done. Last year was hard on the Cutler 1000 and had to tear it down and send the crank to Northern for a straightening out. I had wonderful successes using Dale’s secondary for the first year and am anxious to get rid of the oil injection. I may have a turbo sponsor for the M7 and looking forward to sealing that deal (we’ll see).
The Boise show was good to me. I chatted with lots of folks and rallied support for the 2008 snowmobile film festival upcoming in Reno October 11th. I recieved a ton of support from the manufacturers mainly from Polaris and Mike Carr. I had the chance to speak with Dean from SnoWest and they showed some energy for the event as well.
Hands down the best support has been from other filmakers and producers and Jeff Aiello has been a plethora of support for getting this off the ground as well as all from Boondockers. This event is going to prove to be the MacDaddy of all film events for our industry.
